Services
We provide the following services from our clinic in Farmington, NM:
• Evaluations - Required for all new patients, the therapist will assess all applicable areas, then create goals and a plan for therapy that is individual to the patient's needs.
• Therapy - We provide therapy for the following:
- Voice disorders: nodules, polyps, chronic cough, vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, vocal hemorrhage, transgender voice/gender affirming voice and communication therapy, vocal fatigue, vocal cord dysfunction (VCD), changes in voice with Parkinson's disease, stroke, or traumatic brain injuries.
- Articulation: trouble with speech sounds or dysarthria (slurred speech).
- Dysphagia: difficulty swallowing.
- Stuttering: children as young as 3 years old to adults.
- Aphasia: language loss usually following stroke.
- Foreign accent modification.
• Speaking Engagements - We offer personalized presentations to train techniques for safe voice use. Examples of groups that would benefit from this service are "heavy voice users"- high school choirs, cheerleading squads, teachers, fitness instructors, lawyers, clergy, disc jockeys, and any other groups that rely heavily on the ability to use their voices for prolonged periods. Lost voice = lost work = lost $!
